How to Restrict Users or Group to Projects

Team,

I have a atlassian account (JIRA) and i am created multiple projects under that.

Also i created account for all of my employees in JIRA.

Problem is every user can access all Projects. I tried Policy Restrictions but not working.

I even want to give access to clients to manage Sprint.

How can i restrict users or groups to the projects.

I did not find any help online.

To build on what @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- said, you need to remove the group that allows logon from your permission schemes. It is there by default, which is a bad idea and causes lots of problems.

Remember that there is no "restrict".  Jira is permissive not restrictive.  If you want to stop someone doing something, you have to take away their permissions to do it, not restrict them.

You can use Project roles for this.
