Change status of linked jiras

I want to link a Jira (1) to another Jira (2) which is actually blocking this Jira (1).

Once the blocking Jira (2) gets solved I want the Jira (1) which was blocked by it to automatically have its status changed.
I would create a different status for it, let's say unblocked.

Is this possible?
If so, how?

You would need to use an add-on like Power Scripts or Adaptivist ScriptRunner.
