Trello will not work inside bitbucket

Question

Ive signed up to both trello and bitbucket.

In any of my bitbucket repos, if I go to boards and click on "create a new board", the trello window pops up to allow access, but if I click allow, it just downloads a "callback.dms" file and does nothing else.

Same thing in both chrome and safari on a MacBook

On a windows machine, when I click "Create new board" nothing happens at all.

One of my colleagues has no issues on a Windows machine.

I suspect its something Mac related, any help would be appreciated.

Ive disabled my pop up blocker, antivirus etc

I had exactly the same issue. Here's how I resolved it (using Chrome):

Allow Popups in Bitbucket

* Sign in to bit Bitbucket. 
* Click the padlock in the address bar
* Click Site Settings
* In the drop-down to the right of Pop-ups and redirects, select Allow

Allow Popups in Trello.

* Do the same as above, but on the Trello.com site

Allow Cookies

* Go back to Bitbucket, select your repo and then Boards in the left-hand menu.
* The options for Create new board and Select existing board appear, but don't do anything when clicked.
* At the right hand side of the address bar, you should see a small grey cookie icon with a small red 'x' on it, click this.
* A menu appears with the title "Cookies were blocked"
* Select "Cookies and Other Site Data"
* Another menu appears showing "Cookies in use"
* Click the "Blocked" tab
* Allow cookies from bitbucket-trello-integration.prod.public.atl-pass.net, atlassian.com and trello.com (if trello.com isn't there, don't worry right now)
* Reload the page. You should now get a pop-up to link your accounts when selecting a new or existing Trello board.
* If the board fails to appear, now go back and allow cookies for trello.com.
* Refresh the page and the board should be there.

I expect there's a similar solution for Firefox.

https://api.bitbucket.org/internal/trello/me returns an HTTP error 403 but the JSON response is as follows:

{"status": 403, "message": "No Trello OAuth token found for user", "uuid": "##MASKED-GUID-GOES-HERE-YOURGUID####"}

I've only had success with IE.  Chrome and FF block the authorization popup.
