Number of issues present on my JIRA Cloud

Can anyone please help to get number of issues present in the JIRA portal used by our organization. It would be great help if we can get REST API.

For example:- If the number of issues found to be 10000 present in our jira cloud, then on hitting some REST API, I would be able to get to know the count of issues present.

Run a filter for "" - with no search criteria, it will return everything so you can look at the search result count at the top of the results.

(caveat - this assumes you have "browse" permission in all projects and you are a member of all security levels)
