We are using Confluence as a communication channel (too). Some blogs are mandatory to watch. We cannot rely on that people sign up themselves 100% and we want to secure a hassle free administration of users. We have therefore created users linked to a group email address, e.g "all-engineers@company.com" to make all engineers get notified when there's a new blog post. It has worked like a clock until now. From this Monday there are no notifications sent for people who are in group (email address), only if they have signed up separately themselves.
A) Have you done any changes recently?
Is there a better way to secure that people are watchers? We cannot sit and add user by users in our many spaces. (And of course, content is king so they would want to watch even if they wasn't force added).
