I changed from a html-wiki hosted on an linux system via apache to confluence on the same system. For the old system, if nobody used the webserver the disks spun down after a while and kept this state.
With confluence i discovered, that the disks, which are containing the application-data, are always busy and never spun down for weeks.
At the moment i helped myself with a script. Because the confluence is always used during day time, i always stop the confluence service during certain hours.
I use confluence almost 100% for private stuff with 5 users at the moment. So performance is not the highest goal. Is there a possibility to reduce disk usage during no active usage of confluence?
My system:
C2D 8400 3 Ghz, Q43, 4GB Ram, 60Gb SSD (system), 250 Gb (backup sys), 2x 8Tb (for application-data, mirrored), Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
