Hello Sir/Mam,
is it possible to change the page URL to be more nicer to the end users.
For example i'm having this link "http://wiki/display/SD/Systems+Documentation"
And i'm wondering if i can get rid of /display or change it to be for example
http://wiki/Documents .
I have installed redirection and alias add-ins but no luck
Not really, and it is important to have it the way it is for a reason. For instance the "SD" is the space key. This is important because you can have two documents with the same name in different spaces. If you get rid of that part Confluence would not know which pages called "Documents" that you want.
Thanks for your response!
So the answer is that i can't change the page url name , is that correct ? How about using alias or redirection ?
You could reliably do http://wiki/<space>/<page> in theory, but that would cause problems if you tried to create spaces with names or keys that Confluence uses for all the non-space pages it needs (admin etc)
Yes you can't change it.
Alias and redirections could work (although not without the space key), but they would need to take you to the actual page, and hence expose the real url of the page. So they would not really do a lot more than look like slightly shorter urls.
