Can you link IBM Notes documents to a JIRA issue type?

The company I work for is starting to use JIRA for projects. In the past they have created a most documents in IBM notes. Is there a way we can embed an IBM notes document link into a JIRA issue type? This is only something we would want to do for the first projects created in JIRA and it would have informational character only.
