Are there any adverse impacts of adding Jira gadgets to Confluence?

We currently have some Jira Gadgets in Confluence but I am getting requests to add more.

Before we start adding additional Jira gadgets to Confluence, I would like to know if there are any adverse impacts of doing this; performance or other problems?

Gadgets are normally light weight and they communicate over REST. Depending on the data, there might be a delay in loading the specific pages but there shouldn't be any notable performance issues on the whole instance.

Honestly, I would recommend adding them if the business requires it because the functionality is there to take advantage of it. You might end up doing some performance tuning but it is probably worth it!
