email approval

Question

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to approve a change request in the follow manner:

* Change request raised
* email sent to approver group
* approver simply replies "Approved" via email
* email  triggers change request to transition to approved status.

For steps 1 and 2. You can fire a custom event from the workflow post-function of the transition. ANd in the notification scheme make sure that for that custom event the mail is sent to the desired receipt (correct username - email mapping)

If you have script runner plugin installed, you can use the post-function "send custom email" to send email to desired recipient.

Yes, it's possible but requires a plugin to do workflow transition via email.
