Session Timeout Jira 7

Question

I want increase my session timeout to 3 days (4320 minutes). I adapt the settings in the web.xml (https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira062/changing-the-default-session-timeout-588581487.html) but this does not work. I have Jira version 7.1.4.

I hope someone could help me with this annoying feature.

I checked it but it looks ok. Some my settings where preserved.

Hi Rob,

That's the right file in the documentation you linked to. Here's a couple troubleshooting steps:

* Open the file again to double-check that the changes were saved
* Restart JIRA (settings from in files on the filesystem are loaded at startup, so this has to happen if you make changes in files)
