I created a JIRA Automation rule but can not add components with the "Edit Field" command.
I'm I using the wrong syntax when using edit field command?

Try with component=Software. Make sure there is a component called software associated to the project in question. In addition, you can browse the automation audit log to see if there is any errors shown (http://jira_server/plugins/servlet/automationauditlog)
