How to hide sidebar on a specific page

Need suggestions on how to hide the sidebar on a specific page but not on the rest of the pages of the space.

There are multiple solutions, from a custom user macro (check the latest version near the bottom), to third-party add-ons.

The only issue with the linked answer is that it's referring to how to hide the sidebar with the Documentation theme which as of Confluence 6.x no longer exists.
