Epic and Custom Query Swimlanes Together

Question

Hi,

I'm trying to configure my agile board in a way where most swimlanes are based on Epics, but I need one Expedite lane. I'm trying this syntax below. The custom query for Expidite works, but it's ignoring the Epics.

Base Swimlanes on "Queries".

* priority = "expidite" 
* issueType = Epic
* Everything Else

Why are Epics not populating?

Note: when I select Base Swimlanes on "Epics", the Epics work nicely as swimlanes alone. I just need to add more custome lanes around them.

Exactly what I'm looking for. The only way to do it for us is to have all issues that have issuetype of a critical incident, automatically assigned to an epic for those.

I'm learning it should be something like:

* priority = "expidite"
* issueType = Story  
* Everything Else

The second would have to be grouped by Epic, but I don't think this function is supported. Very unfortunate.
