Jira create screen shows epics from all projects, how do I filter to just selected project?

Our create screens are shared among projects. We are now using scrum boards and epics, but when we create an issue that screen has ALL epics in the epic pull down, not just ones for the selected projects. The filter for the scrum board is just this project.

Can we filter?

I'm guessing the answer to this might be to have separate workflows for different projects with different screens associated with them. I hope that's not right though! It does seem very odd that sprints from totally unrelated projects come up as possibilities when you want to add an issue to a sprint.
