Add Custom Fields on Install

Hi there,

I'm currently developing a JIRA plugin that makes use of custom fields and would like these custom fields to be created when the plugin is installed. How would I go about doing this? I've looked around and can only find information on defining custom field types, when what I need are custom fields.

A couple of options I can quickly give to start you off:

• Have your plugin use the JIRA REST API to create custom fields.
• Use the CustomFieldManager interface in the JIRA Java API
• Look at http://www.j-tricks.com/tutorials/plugin-lifecycle-events (but note that you'll have to make adjustments to work with the latest versions of the APIs, and use spring scanner annotations in your code rather than <component-import> statements in atlassian-plugin.xml)
