Hi,

I'm new to JAVA Script.

Please help me to hide the fields (normal text field, date picker field etc) based on value of another custom filed select list.

Here, We are using group to assign issue, So please guide me to configure this better way. Now I added a group picker custom field to create issue screen and created a custom notification scheme to this, Is this on the correct way ??

Also want to know, Is possible to hide the values of group picker while creating an issue ?? Means, While creating an issue, only want to show the groups in group picker is having necessary permission (Groups assigned to project roles only), Now showing all groups in JIRA.

Did you already check the behaviours plugin? This hides the complexity of Javascript and lets you implement the logic to dynamically hide fields server side. Please check the section Show Or Hide fields in https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/JBHV/Miscellaneous+Behaviours+Examples

Hi Sanu ,

This can be done using javascript however according to me a better option would be to go with the Behaviours plugin . Using this plugin you can hide fields , hide field values , etc .. There are many similar examples available in the documentation . For the group picker you can have a look at this example , its for a select list but i guess with some modifications you can use it for a group picker . i have done it for a version picker and it works .
