How to identify requirements in Confluence

Question

Hi,

We use Confluence for all our project documentation.

We have some use cases and for each one, some business rules.

For the moment, we enlight the business rules with de "{info}" macro but there is no numerotation or any tracability.

I try to use JIRA for it but I didn't manage to make something clear.

Have you got any idea to generate unique "tag" for the business rules and so trace it ?

I've built Requirement Yogi for this exact purpose:

* Regarding numerotation: Requirement Yogi helps you find the right key by suggesting the next available one,
* Regarding traceability: You can link to a requirement instead of linking to a full page. My perk is when you hover over a requirement link, it shows an inline dialog with an excerpt of the original requirement.

I am not sure if this is the best approach. However, you can have a space for all business rules and create a page for each business rule. Put a tag for these pages. When you want to include the business rule, ensure that you use Include Page macro to do that :)
