Sign off plugin: is it possible to sign-off through email or HipChat?

We are facing problems when people can't access to our network, but they really need to sign-off a JIRA ticket, and for those cases will be good if they can just sign-off sending an email or a HipChat message. Is it possible to trigger the Plugin Sign-off through email or HipChat?

I assume you mean this plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/de.polscheit.jira.plugins.group-sign-off If so, then I don't see any way to do this. Though I have added it as a label to this question to draw more attention to it. Someone else may know more than me.
