Promote JIRA issues through Confluence

Question

Is there a macro that allows users to change the status of JIRA issues through Confluence?  The JIRA issues macro does not seem to work for this purpose.

Thank you for the reply, but this page just confirms what i already stated.  It does not say anything about changing issue status.  Do you have any other references or tips?
