How does the JEMH plugin handle blacklisting / whitelisting of sender addresses?

I couldn't find any helpful documention regarding this question.

1. Is white / blacklisting of sender adresses mutual exclusive? If not: what will happen with emails frrom sender addresses that are neither whitelisted nor blacklisted?
2. If I've configured some whitelist domains - is everything else blacklisted automatically (or vice versa)?
3. If an domain would match both rules (blacklisting AND whitelisting), which rule would take precedence?
