Pre-Populate Jira fields for a specific POSIX Group members only

Can  description field in  "create issue " page be pre-populated for the  members of a only a specific posix group?

Hi Mahesh ,

Thanks for the answer ,but my second question part , this description part has to be applied only for a selected users  in a specific Group (Posix) is this possible in JIRA ? (i.e)when a particular user for this group tries to create a bug the template should populate only for them .

Hope, your JIRA is not in cloud.

If not, you can add a javascript in the description for the field Description in the field configuration. In the javascript you can get the field element of your custom field, verify the condition and prepopulate the field value. Please refer my answer from this.
