Advanced filter can't find "unresolved" values

We have a unique situation where we are using JIRA to link up to SalesForce.com. In our workflow we have the possiblity that a JIRA issue coudl be created and then closed without ever going through the resolved state. (If you want to understand why let me know).

Due to this we have a number of isues that have a STATUS of "Closed" and a RESOLUTION of "Unresolved".

I have a user who is trying to create 2 opposing filters. The first one is as such:

assignee = currentUser() AND (status = Closed AND resolution = "Confirmed as a Bug")

This returns a list of closed issus that have a resolution of "Confirmed as a Bug"

Now they need to get teh complete oppisite list. They are trying this query:

assignee = currentUser() AND (status = Closed AND resolution != "Confirmed as a Bug")

But it will not pick up the "Unresolved" issues. We tried adding in "" or null but none of those work.

Any ideas?

Did you try

assignee = currentUser() AND (status = Closed AND (resolution != "Confirmed as a Bug" OR resolution = UnResolved))

Btw, do you have cases where status is closed and resolution is empty??
