Send email to previous assignee via Script Function

Question

Hello -

I am using the built in script function of "send a custom email" in both script listeners and workflow events because we have a need, to, well, send a custom email.  :)

I would like to be able to include the previous assignee in the email body.  Something like

$issue.previousassignee resolved the issue

Anyone know what the appropriate property is?

I saw that, but unfortunately it doesn't help me for implementing a script listener or a workflow post function.
