How to create a task inside a page comment in Confluence

I would like to create tasks inside a page comment, but I see that in not enabled in the menu inside the comment. How can I add it then?

I came across this question while searching a more recent one, and I just wanted to mention this feature request:

It's not clear if you saw this, but it is worth watching and voting on to help show the number of users would would like this feature.

I thought I would be clever and use markup to trick Confluence. Unfortunately the task list can not be rendered in comments:

One idea would be to use the Mention (@[name]) followed by the directive, followed by the date (//), followed by the Status Macro:
