Identifying JIRA Admin who did the change

Hi

We have 9 users who have jira-administrators permissions.

Recently one of them added a new resolution type which he was not supposed to.

How can we identify that user of the 9 users.

I mean is there a way to do it using database or through logs .

Any ideas?

No, it's not logged.

Unless you have the Jira auditor plugin, or you're on Jira 6.2+ and have enabled the new admin logging function.

You could try scrabbling around in access logs, but it's not easy.

(I'd also say you've probably got too many admins who don't talk to each other about potentially global and high impact changes - unless you've got several thousand users, 9 is probably too many. Even if you think you need 9, you should force all 9 of them to have daily discussions about what they're doing, and revise your change request queue - one of your more experienced admins should have spotted this change in your jira-admin project and stopped it before the damage was done)
