Some Confluence pages fail to link using "search for" in Jira

Some Confluence pages fail to link when using the "search for" Confluence Page from Jira.

For other Confluence pages in the same space there are no problems using "Search For".

I have configured the application links and the project/space links. Why does this work for some pages and fail for others in the same Confluence Space?

Please help as this is driving me crazy.

Jira 6.0 and Confluence 5.3 The pages are not restricted.

I think i have found the reason - need to put the search in quotation marks. I believe failure to do so is resulting in too many hits on the Confluence space and thus returns an error to Jira when.
