What tasks are you referring to that are not Issues? Tasks are one of the default issue types (for JIRA Software at least, if not JIRA Core). Are you trying to only show a specific type of issue in your burndown chart and not others?
I suspect there's more of a question lurking behind this one, but to answer what we have:
A burndown chart is based on the board filter. If it needs to burn down on "tasks instead of issues", all you should have to do is change the filter to select tasks instead of issues.
