Anyway to bulk upload User Avatars?

Question

Hi there,

I've been tasked with uploading the images from our employee directory to Confluence/Jira. I've been able to do this for Confluence with no problem using a program that uses the Confluence rest API. I can't seem to find a way to use the Jira API to make changes to the user profiles in a similar manner.

Is this possible? I was hoping that confleunce would sync the images over but to my understanding this isn't a function included currently within the product.
