Will this connection work when I move JiRA to a new purchased install on a new production/dev server?
Yes it will. If all you do is change the license on the server, then nothing will need to be changed. If you move to a different server, then you will need to follow the instructions at: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Migrating+JIRA+to+Another+Server to do this.
