Having trouble establishing an Application Link between jira and confluence

Hi!

I am trying to establish an application link between JIRA and confluence, both are on same server and listening to port 8080 and 8090. However I am getting the error :

javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException

The server on which both the applications are installed has expired certificate (which could be a probable issue), please correct me if I am wrong.When we access the applications thourgh browser they first give a security warning.

Is there any workaround possible to setup a link between both the application

Sounds like your SSL cert isn't in the keystore.

Easiest way to fix this would be to install the SSL plug in as it will automatically import the certificate during the SSL handshake.

Remove SSL from the system.

Hi Nic, thanks for responding. Is it completely not possible without a valid certificate? is there a work around possible.
