Custom field shows parent values

Question

Hi there

we use JIRA Service Desk and currently I am trying to solve following issue. When JIRA SD sends an automatic email notification to a client, a custom field (drop-down) shows following value: Parent values: "drop down value" (10740). I know that the value 10740 is the drop down value in the database but does anybody know why this value is popping up?

Sounds like the email template is not expanding the option to the named value.  Have you changed any of the templates?
