I want to prevent the blog posts editing by other users. Who to do this? Is there a way to do this automatical?
Wolfgang, Confluence has several permissions about restricting the ability of users to perform actions on pages/spaces. I'm not entirely sure about what you are trying to accomplish, but you should be able to prevent users from editing a page by hitting the 'Tools' option (located at the top right corner of the page) and selecting 'Restrictions' - there you will be able to restrict editing of the page.
To disallow other users from editing your blog post, as a space admin, you should not grant 'Add Blog' permisision to other users but yourself. This will disable 'Edit' button from appearing in the blog for other users.
thx for feedback. By default everyone who can add a blog post can also edit a blog post via edit button or via https://....../pages/editblogpost.action?pageId=######.
Is there a solution to prevent editing other blog posts?
Sounds like he has a blog that has multiple authors, and wants each author to only be able to edit/add their own blog posts. I'd like to know if there's a solution to this too.
THX. But what when many users will create blog posts in this blog and they should be able only to edit theire own?
7 years later, we also have the same situation as the original author. any solutions by now?
