How can i automatically fill "Fix Version" field when creating subtask?

Hi all,

Let's say i have a story which has field "Fix Version" set to "A".

When i create sub "technical tasks" for it i would like to be able to automatically populate the "Fix Version" field of the subtask with the value from the story.

Take a look at the JIRA misc workflow extensions plugin this has a workflow post function which let's you copy values from the parent issue : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.innovalog.jmwe.jira-misc-workflow-extensions

You might also be able to use the JIRA Suite Utilities plugin for this task : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.googlecode.jira-suite-utilities

You can simply add this postfunction to the create transition in your subtask workflow.
