How to set a select list CF displays pictures?

Question

I want to set a CF which has three options, which the options can display some pictures, just like a red flag, a red dot, a little flower. Like the issue type icon.

How can I set it? Which CF type should I use? Can select list contain icon link? Which plugin shoud I use?

Thanks very much!

Using the 'Select List (Single Choice)' and 'Select List (Multiple Choices)' custom field types built into JIRA, you can use the

HTML tag to insert images into your options. The images don't appear when selecting inputs for the fields, however - only when the custom field is shown on the 'Issue Details' screen for the JIRA issue. This, as well as another option, is mentioned in the standing feature request for what you're after: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-5703
