Quite often we find that <span> tags start appearing in our Confluence pages. The source is stuff that we have entered by hand (not imported). I believe this happens after a certain amount of editing. The results of this are:
- Slightly strange-looking headings (that are actually formatted as "Paragraph", list items that have very little space between them.
- When we export to Word (using the k15t Scroll Office plugin) all hell breaks loose: whole paragraphs become headings, a set of list items becomes a single paragraph, and so on.
The fix is to go into the source editor, and remove all the <span/> tags one by one.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Phil
