Yes, to do that you can use a simple scripted validator from Script runner plugin
An easier way is to use the "Copy Value from Field to Field" post-function in the JIRA Misc Workflow Extensions plugin.
I am trying to do: If the user in customer firled traveller is A,B or C then the case is assigned to x on transistion
Where does "x" come from? Is it a constant, or the value of another field?
