I just installed statsh on linux 64 . i opened the provided link "localhost:7990" It got opened the home page what is the username and password i have to provide . please let me know.
Thanks
You should have been sent to a /setup page when it first opened, and been prompted to create an admin user (and provide a username and password).
If you were taken tot he home page, then you probably used an existing STASH_HOME or BITBUCKET_HOME directory where there was already an admin user set up (in which case, use the username and password that you previous set up).
If you install Bitbucket Server as a plugin developer, there is an "admin" user with password "admin" created for you.
Thanks for your quick response. I did an fresh installation on new amazon machine . I installed in this way

In that case, your first visit in a browser will ask you to set up the admin account (I installed it using the same route last night) with username, name, and password. Unless you installed it over an existing install as Adam says, where it'll be using credentials you set up before.
If you were logged into something like Answers recently, or have been installing other Atlassian stuff, you might find the browser pre-filled some stuff for you as you went, and you skipped over the screen (as that's exactly what I did yesterday). So you might want to try the credentials you use for JIRA or Answers etc
