I am trying to figure out, following this article why confluence does not start on startup. Any help would be appreciated.
I have verified the script, letter by letter. And there is not mistakes in the file. It just doesn't appear to execute. I can't find any record in the logs that it has run.
I did discover that the "upstart" log directory did not exist and when I tried to run initctl, the system stated that upstart was not installed. So I did install upstart, but that did not seem to make a difference either. There were also other .conf files in the proper directory (etc/init) like upstart was installed and working. It is kinda strange.
Any help would be appreciated.
