Best upgrade path from confluence 3.4.8 to the latest

Hi I'm looking to upgrade our confluence old version 3.4.8 to the latest. Any recommendation for the smoothest path? Thanks.

Hi Martin,

You might want to try the following path. Please note that this is one of the safest path which require some times and checkpoints to avoid issues:

1. Completely backup you current Confluence
2. Build a staging server for testing the upgrade
3. Upgrade your staging environment to Confluence release version 4.3.7
4. Check if everything is working fine
5. Backup your upgraded instance
6. Upgrade your staging environment to latest release of Confluence
