Can't change issue type from "Bug" using IE8

Question

Recently upgraded to JIRA 5.0.   When using IE 8 to create a new issue we can't save the issue as anything other than the type "Bug". After clicking or tabbing out of the issue type field it changes back to "Bug" regardless of what issue type was chosen.

Works fine in Google Chrome or Firefox.

Have you tried disabling Compatibility Mode in IE?  There's some info on that here - https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Compatibility+Mode+related+problems+on+Internet+Explorer .
