It seems that in Jira (5.2) you can't mix local avatars with those from gravatar.com, i.e. I need to set the avatar for a proxy user, not related to a real email account but to an alias (distribution list), but the instance is set to avatars comming from gravatar.com.

Is there any configuration that can help me set the avatae to that user?

Hi Adolfo,

I don't think this is possible. If the instance is set to use Gravatars, it is not possible to change one user's avatar on your instance since all requests for profile pics will be fed by gravatar.
