Trello account disappeared after sudden logout, now shows as new account

Hi everyone,

I created my personal Trello account on October 6, 2026 and logged in with an email verification code. I used it every day since then.

Today (November 5, 2026), I was suddenly logged out. When I logged back in with the same email, Trello said it was a new account. Now I only see an empty account, and all my old boards are gone. I also checked closed boards and searched, but found nothing.

This is my own personal account, not connected to any company workspace. I did not delete it or change the email.

Has anyone had this happen before? How can I get my old account and boards back?

Hey @April ,

I've seen similar cases where users were accidentally signed into a different Trello account, making their boards appear to have disappeared. 🤔

A few things worth checking 👇

1. Try signing in through an incognito window using your original login method (email code, Google, Apple, etc.).
2. Check whether your Trello username has changed.
3. Look for old board links (trello.com/b/...) in your browser history or Trello notification emails.

If none of these helps, I'd recommend contacting Atlassian's Billing & Licensing Support and selecting Your account → Log-in issues.
