Bitbucket workspace Anis_Ouerghi has been deactivated

Hello Atlassian Support,

My Bitbucket workspace Anis_Ouerghi has been deactivated due to inactivity.

I was unable to reactivate it, and I urgently need access to my old repositories and source code.

Workspace: Anis_Ouerghi

Repository: canceledtripbackend2024

Could you please check whether my workspace and repositories are still recoverable?

I would appreciate any possibility of exceptional restoration, even if the workspace has passed the May 15, 2026 deadline.

I am very sorry to hear you’re having trouble accessing your Bitbucket workspace. I know how critical your repositories are to your team’s work, and I want to help you get some clarity on the status of your data.

If your workspace was deactivated recently, you may be able to reactivate it yourself by following these steps:

* Log in to admin.atlassian.com/billing.
* Select the Billing Account associated with your Bitbucket subscription.
* Click Subscriptions on the left-hand menu.
* Select the Inactive tab on the right.
* Find your Bitbucket Workspace in the list and click Reactivate.

Please take these steps to reach them:

* Create a support ticket via the Purchasing & Licensing Contact.
* Select "Your account" → "Reactivate subscription" and provide your Workspace ID (URL).
* Briefly describe your request and include a link to this Community post for context.

A note on our Bitbucket Free plan policy:

To ensure we are providing the best experience for active teams, Atlassian has a policy regarding inactive workspaces (full details can be found Track storage and move data across apps | Atlassian Support).

* Inactivity Warnings: We typically send email warnings to workspace administrators after 1 month (for empty workspaces) or 3 months (for workspaces with content) of inactivity.
* Deactivation & Deletion: Once a workspace is deactivated due to inactivity, it is scheduled for permanent deletion after 60 days.
* Data Recovery: Once a workspace is hard-deleted, the repositories and data are generally not recoverable.

Our Customer Advocates can look into your specific account to see if the deactivation was due to inactivity or a billing issue, and determine if there is still a path for recovery. Please reach out to them as soon as possible.
