TL;DR: Rovo can answer Confluence usage questions in plain language through the Viewtracker Agent. You get better answers if you name the scope, timeframe and measure, and change one thing at a time. Recurring reports can run on a schedule through Automation.
Hi everyone,
I'm Elena from Elevatic.
Most content questions are simple. Which onboarding pages actually get read? Has anyone opened the new travel policy? Did last quarter’s announcements do better than this quarter’s? Answering them usually means opening a report, setting filters and digging through the data.
With the Viewtracker Agent, you can ask the question in Rovo Chat instead. It matches your question to one of nine report types, which we call skills: what performs, what’s gone stale, how content compares, who has or hasn’t read it, and a feedback skill. You don’t choose the skill yourself. Any setting you leave out gets a default, and the response tells you which defaults it used. If you open Rovo Chat on a page or space, the agent uses that page or space as the scope.
What helps you get a good answer on the first try
- Name the scope, timeframe and measure. “Pages in HR, last 30 days, by unique viewers” works better than “what’s popular?”
- Change one thing at a time. Ask “now compare with last quarter” instead of rewriting the whole prompt.
- Ask for absolute numbers when you need exact counts. Comparisons show percentage changes by default.
- Expect completed periods. “This month” is still in progress, so comparisons use the last full period.
- Ask what the numbers mean. A follow-up like “What should we do about these pages?” gets you suggested next steps.
Recurring reports
If you ask the same question every week, run the agent from Atlassian Automation instead. For example, you could post the top 10 intranet pages to a Confluence page every Monday, or email HR a monthly list of who hasn’t opened an updated policy. A scheduled prompt can’t ask you clarifying questions, so write it like a brief to a colleague.

Over to you: what usage questions does your team ask most often? I’m curious whether people mostly look at reach or at who hasn’t read something yet.
