Unable to generate API token for Atlassian Jira

Hi,

Create API Token is disabled for me and also API token app corresponding to Atlassian Jira is not shown, I see only Bitbucket as API token APP.

Requesting help in fixing this issue

Check with your Org Administrator and make sure API tokens are permitted in your Org under the relevant security policy.

Hi @Ananda Gorremuchu , that combination (Create API token disabled, and only Bitbucket offered as an app) almost always means your organization admin has blocked user API tokens in an authentication policy. Bitbucket is exempt from that block, which is why it's the only app left.

You can't switch this on yourself. Ask your org admin to open Atlassian Administration, then Security, then User security, then Authentication policies, and either allow API tokens in the policy you're in or move you to one that allows them. The setting is described here:
