Hello everyone! 👋
I’m one of the Atlassian Community Champions and a chapter leader for Atlassian Community Jaipur. Our meetups usually bring together around 60 working professionals, and many of them are attending a community event for the first time.
The problem
First-time attendees keep asking us the same questions: How do I join? What actually happens at a meetup? How do I become an Atlassian Community member? The answers were spread across LinkedIn posts, WhatsApp messages and event pages, and our Confluence playbook was written for the host team, not for attendees.
Before
A text-heavy Confluence page explaining how we run a meetup: team roles, how to join the community, and seven planning steps from choosing a topic to sharing the recap.
After
I used Remix with Rovo → Infographic → Sketch style.
My first remix turned the whole page into a detailed “meetup operating model”, which was useful for the host team but too busy for a newcomer. So I refined the prompt to show the journey from a new attendee’s point of view, and Rovo turned it into four simple steps: Join community → Find & RSVP → Event day → Stay connected.
How it helps our audience
- New attendees can understand the whole journey in under a minute, without reading a long page.
- We can share it on LinkedIn and in our WhatsApp group before each meetup, and show it on screen during the “How can you be part of it?” part of our opening.
- The original playbook stays on the same page for the host team, and the remix sits on top without changing a word of it.
Bonus learning: the remix is only as good as the question you ask. The same content gave me two very different visuals depending on whose point of view I asked for. 🪄
