In ADO we can control Nuget usage by publishing our own feed that developers have to use.
Does Bitbucket have anything similar?
Bitbucket Cloud does not offer a built-in private NuGet feed directly comparable to Azure DevOps Artifacts, so most teams keep their source code in Bitbucket while publishing packages to a dedicated feed service. You can then consume that feed from Bitbucket Pipelines and store its credentials as secured pipeline variables, which keeps access control separate from repository access. That separation also makes versioning clearer than trying to use a Git repository itself as a package store.
Hi @Jan Martin,
Bitbucket Cloud has this now. Bitbucket Packages added a NuGet registry in June.https://www.atlassian.com/blog/bitbucket/bitbucket-packages-adds-pypi-and-nuget-support
You create the package under Create > Package > NuGet and link it to a repo, and that repo's permissions apply to the package. Set it to Internal for a shared feed, so any workspace member can pull it while pushing still needs Write.https://www.atlassian.com/blog/bitbucket/share-packages-across-your-workspace-internal-packages
Clients sign in with an Atlassian API token, and Pipelines gets BITBUCKET_PACKAGES_USERNAME and BITBUCKET_PACKAGES_TOKEN.https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/working-with-the-nuget-registry/
It's only on monthly Standard and Premium plans. There's no nuget.org proxy like an Azure Artifacts upstream, so keep nuget.org as a second source and use packageSourceMapping for your own prefixes.
