My Bitbucket Cloud workspace "danflu" (https://bitbucket.org/danflu/) disappeared between 2026-10-23 and 2026-10-26 without any action on my side.
What I observe:
- The REST API returns: No workspace with identifier 'danflu'.
- https://bitbucket.org/account/workspaces/ for my account
- An API token created on 2026-10-22 still authenticates (GET /2.0/user works)
- git fetch/push to https://bitbucket.org/danflu/conference.git fails with "You may not have access to this repository or it no longer exists in this workspace".
The workspace held one private repository
Could someone from Atlassian check what happened to this workspace (deleted

Hello @Daniel Dantas
Atlassian cleaned up inactive Free Bitbucket workspaces earlier this year.
Have you checked the deactivated workspaces page directly? https://bitbucket.org/account/workspaces/deactivated
If listed, you may still be able to reactivate it. Since your workspace was accessible until October 23, Atlassian needs to investigate. I'll flag this discussion for help. Please remove your email address from the public post.
Cheers, Arek🤠🧙♂️
I checked the link you posted, and it's not listed there. Something really strange happened, could you please check ?
I already flagged this
Thanks a lot!
Hi @Daniel Dantas,
I took a look at your account and noticed that a Premium subscription was recently started, but it appears that billing details have not yet been entered. When a trial or subscription period ends without a valid payment method on file, the system automatically deactivates the site to protect the data.
If the deactivation happened recently, you may be able to check the status and reactivate it yourself:
If you cannot see the workspace there or need further help: Because this involves your specific account, billing details, and private repository data, we need to move this to a secure environment. Our Billing and Account teams need to verify your identity to assist with reactivation, and for security reasons, we cannot handle these details here in the public forum.
Next Steps:
Our support team will be able to look into the exact status of your Bitbucket subscription and help you resolve this immediately.
Best, Samuil
Thanks, it's back! Just a feedback to atlassian team, you could put a hint in the page to guide the user to the solution. I had simply not a clue what happened… Could not figure it out if I haven't dig to a forum, created a messaged, hoped for someone respond (and thanks Arkadiusz Wroblewski! ). Never thought I had to go to an obscure link to update my credit card. Thanks guys, problem solved!
I'm glad to hear the issue is resolved!
For context, a few billing-related emails were sent about this and within the emails there were instructions on what to do in order to keep access to your workspace. However, I can definitely understand if those were missed! After all, that is why we have the Community - to help each other!
