I'm Subrata, a Product Manager on the Jira Service Management Assets team. I work on Data Manager, the part of Assets that brings in, cleans up, matches and combines asset data from all your sources.
We're planning what comes next for Data Manager, and we want the people who use it every day to help shape it. So we're looking for customers to join 60-minute 1:1 interviews.
What we want to learn
- What's missing today? Where does Data Manager fall short for you? Think about adding sources, mapping fields, cleansing and standardizing data, matching records across sources, fixing data quality, and getting clean data into Assets.
- If you could design it from a blank page, what would it look like? Forget how it works today. If you were building the ideal tool for keeping your asset inventory accurate and trustworthy, what would it do? What would it never make you do?
No idea is too big or too small. Workarounds, spreadsheets, scripts and “we gave up and do it manually” stories are exactly what we want to hear.
Who we'd love to talk to
- Assets / CMDB admins, ITAM and IT operations teams
- Anyone who has set up or maintains Data Manager sources and import jobs
- Teams who tried Data Manager and stopped using it, or chose another tool (your feedback is especially valuable)
- Teams who manage asset data from tools like Intune, SCCM, Jamf, cloud providers, ServiceNow or spreadsheets
